Yeas I've done a couple of those restarts since learning how with no change. I'll see if anybody suggests any different and then try the restore.
If I restore will I lose my text messages and data within apps?
Thanks scott

So I just got a new macbook air and transfered over my music and apps from Time Machine. The problem I have now is that on my iphone I purchased some apps and music which aren't on the air. But to sync it says I have to erase the iphone. How the heck do I get my music and apps over without it erasing the new apps and music I bought?
well for the music there are many programs out there. (senuti I think) But for the apps you are going to have download those on your new air. If you want to keep all app settings I think there is a way to use an earlier backup but I don't remember how to do that.

Hi, can anyone help recommend an HD camcorder for me? It can be a regular camcorder or pocket camcorder, whichever you recommend based on the following...
Budget: Cheaper is better, but not an issue.
Purpose: Will be recording amateur basketball games for film study and also doing unrelated news stories and interviews.
Features: Must be able to record at least an hour without recharging. Must also be able to easily upload to laptop for editing! I was considering the Flip Ultra HD but I read something about how it's impossible to upload to your computer unless you have a 3.0GHZ processor or better?
Also, some of the will be broadcast on TV so the audio must be good enough for playback on TV...
Thank you so much.

I find it kinda sad that there is already tons of junk out there in space and there's no humans living out there yet, if you can exclude the international space centre. That's obviously not junk!!

To improve the Mac Mini's sound I recommend the iMic USB Sound Card. It is well built. I bought mine 5 years ago and it is still going strong.

You forgot rubber band guns ;)
And nerf guns can be awesome, especially if you take them apart and replace the spring with a slightly more hardcore version... makes for some awesome nerf wars.

Not likely going to happen. Ethernet based hardware is quite a bit harder to design then USB hardware; and then the software on top of it is a bit more of a pain in the butt. Thus if they have no plans, it isn't going to happen. See if you can find any good ethernet scanners; then see if any of those have mac support.
EDIT : Epson GT-15000 Scanner seems to support OSX

Ordered my first ever iMac yesterday, 27'' top bto, with i7, and 2gig graphics. Cannot wait.
I have spare ram from one of my macbooks, 2x 2GB modules, but they are 1033?, would they be compatable?

I’VE GOTTEN A REMOTE TO WORK WITH KEYNOTE ON IPAD
I’m like evryone else wanting a remote to advance slides. Today I got my Apple Track Pad to work with my ipad advancing slides in Keynote though BLUETOOTH. Working perfectly.
Let me go through steps.
1. Jailbroken Ipad (sorry only way around it)
2. Install Bt Stack Mouse – Cydia
3. Ran Bt Stack Mouse
4. Put Track Pad in discovery mode (took several attempts)
5. Once connected – it works like trackpad is supposed to. Pointer as well.
To use it around the room — press the round rubber buttons on bottom of track pad.
Currently going HDMI out – working perfectly.
Cannot backup — but it advances perfectly from across the room.
OTHER NOTE: Keynote Remote App — with BT Stack Mouse it does recognize “home iphone” but won’t advance to input passcode. Maybe soon that one will work.
Enjoy your presentations with BlueTooth Remote for Keynote Ipad.
UPDATE:
Just got WeBE++ to control iPad keynote presentation from iPhone.
Steps: jailbreak iPad and iPhone - sorry only way around it
Download and install BTstack Mouse - Cydia
Download and install WeBe++ - Cydia
Run BTstack mouse
Run WeBe++
BTstack mouse will recognize WeBe++ as 'name iphone'
Connect -
Run keynote and load presentation - put presentation in play mode
Click iPhone screen once to advance slides.
Very nice.

Hi designerz!
I'm starting a design company, unfortunately I have zero talent in design. So I'm looking for a designer that will do a logo for my company and do all the graphix I will need. You'll be mentioned on teh website and get a piece of candy every month!!! Plus you can tell everyone u work for teh coolest design company in the world.
Looking forward too many logo suggestions so I can pick the most talented person for me awesome company!! :D
It's the internet, so I better mention this is meant to be satirical ;-)

Yeah, sorry, that's why I'm also looking for just the enclosure on its own. I can't afford anything over $100, and that's really my absolute limit, sorry.
I thought you said that the drive is dying?
so if you have an enclosure with a drive that has 100GB+ of space on it... we can deal!

That'd be me.
I'd say it depends a lot on the type of application you are talking about. If it's of the type "I need this for my work, and if I use it only once or twice, I'd gladly pay $2 for it because it saves me a lot of time" then go for paid. If its something that few people will use, but they will use it often (as in a reference manual of sorts), then these few people will generate many ad views, and making it ad-supported may be beneficial.

none of the profiles I select look correct, or should I say, optimal. The only time it does look optimal is on the installing updates screen.
