Minimalism or what!
Had I not opened this up in Preview I would never have known what to look for!
Yeah :o
Maybe I should just make it a still avatar eh?, well that would save some space.

I am thinking of ordering the lacie slim dvd burner
http://www.lacie.com/products/product.htm?pid=10186
I know it isn't as fast as a desktop model, but I want to be able to take it with me, and I know my next mac will have a superdrive, so I wouldnt need an external burner. Right now I am using the superdrive on my G4 powermac. I am curious as to how much slower or faster the lacie slim is?
Advice is appreciated!

A Mac Mini could easily run as an HTPC, webserver and fileserver at the same time depending on client traffic. If its just your notebook then no sweat at all.

Have it done by a card printer. It is worth it, if you are using these cards as a representation of yourself.

Under instant email notification, the forum system should send you only one email until you visit the forums. If you've been in and out of the forums all day, you will have received multiple emails. Each time you enter the forums after an email is sent, the clock is reset and the system seeks to again notify you of new replies.
Instant email notification isn't really appropriate for fast-moving threads.
That makes sense. I have been in and out of the thread a lot, maybe we keep passing in cyber space.

Anyone know how to get the best quality feed from my Mac's Nvidia GT120 into a Blackmagic Intensity Pro card in a PC?
Just adapting DVI > HDMI and going into the Blackmagic's HDMI in does not work because the Blackmagic apparently only supports "broadcast resolutions" (I called them and asked).
What's the best way to split a feed out of my Mac that is either a broadcast resolution or the best way to convert a computer resolution (much more than broadcast) to one that can go into the Intensity Pro?
The Mac should detect the HDMI device as an HDTV, and offer you resolutions of 720p, 1080i, and/or 1080p. If you select one of the specific "HD" resolutions, and not random other resolutions (even the seemingly identical 1280x720 and 1920x1080!) it should work.
Also, make sure your refresh rate is 60 or 30 Hz.

Hello,
I believe that only intel based macs can be upgraded to snow leopard (10.6).
Power PC products are stuck with 10.5.

All 3 items.
Looking to sell as a package for 85-90 shipped?
PM me if interested. Need the money for summer stuff, like my computer upgrade, a camera, and Otakon! :D
Only can accept USPS Money Orders.
I am willing to break it up if I can find buyers for all 3. Again, make offers. :)
Also have a 12" iBook G3 display, as well as various bits and pieces. If you're looking for a certain piece, lemme know and I'll see if I got it still. My iBook failed from the logic board crapola. Ugh.

What will you use it for? That determines is the high-end worth it for you. For basic tasks, it is not but if you do something CPU intensive, then it can be.

Thinking about picking up a Mophie Juice Pack and was wondering if the supplied cable will work with a car stereo USB iPhone/iPod input? I see they say you can still sync with iTunes with the cable but does it also work in the car?

Kingston SSDNow V100 SV100S2/128GZ 2.5" 128GB SATA II Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Crucial RealSSD C300 CTFDDAC128MAG-1G1 2.5" 128GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD

Corsair Performance 3 Series CSSD-P3128GB2-BRKT 2.5" 128GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Review of the crucial, seems amazingly fast..
I know the review is of the 256gb unit, but just look up the 128 when you buy, same performance on both models..

The guides category needs some better organization IMO.
We should decide if we want almost everything in sub-categories or most of it just in the guide category itself. I think having it half-half just confuses users and makes articles harder to find.
We should use the distinction between subcategories and the actual category to distinguish between more "important" and less "important" guides.
In an attempt to make the Mac Beginner's Guide more prominent I added a sub-category but I don't know whether this would be the best way to go about it, so before I do anything else I think we should talk about how we want to organize this category.
So feel free to delete the subcategory I created until we figure something out.
